Social Entrepreneur, Marine Veteran, & the Head of Mission for White Stork
In February 2022, William traveled to Ukraine where he cofounded White Stork, a leading evacuation and critical aid supply organization serving the State Emergency Services, Ukrainian Military, Ukrainian Railways, and the Ukrainian National Post. White Stork evacuated over 37,000 women &
children from Ukraine into Poland, temporarily housed over 14,500 refugees in Europe through its partnership with Airbnb, and supplied over 70,000 IFAKs to the defense forces. For this
humanitarian work, russia publicly designated William as a foreign combatant.
Prior to White Stork, William cofounded Team Rubicon, an internationally acclaimed veteran-led disaster response organization with over 150,000 members and 500 operations around the world. In 2014, William founded Team Rubicon Global, serving as CEO until 2017 and then again from 2020-
2021. In ten years, William helped raise over $100M and launched five veteran-led charities in Australia, Canada, Norway, United Kingdom, and the United States.
Prior to Team Rubicon, William served as a civilian intelligence analyst in Washington DC. He worked for the National Security Council’s Iraq Threat Finance Cell, the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence, and the Defense Intelligence Agency. After college, William joined the United States Marine Corps where he served as an anti-tank missileman and intelligence specialist.
