A FEW KEY PEOPLE
The fifth annual CoreNet Global Atlanta Chapter Education Forum 2010 took place last week at the J.W. Marriott in Buckhead. Speakers included Buckhead Coalition president Sam Massell (with Darlene Hawksley) and Lisa Borders, the former president of Atlanta's City Council and mayoral candidate last year. Sam was asked how Atlanta is different today than it was in the ?70s when he was mayor. Back then decisions were made by a few key people in the boardroom of the Commerce Club, he said. Following up, Tad Leithead, chairman of the Atlanta Regional Commission, said now hundreds of people are involved in the city's decision-making. |
Lisa Borders, right, said commercial real estate will remain key to Atlanta's vitality. Lisa, right, with McKenna Long and Aldridge?s Sharon Gay, said commercial real estate is to Atlanta what cars are for Detroit and what entertainment is to California. |
