A FIRST FOR RAVEN
June 8, 2011
Ackerman & Co just hit a home run at Perimeter Town Center.
Too bad Ackerman's Pat Chesser couldn't do the same during yesterday's CRE softball league game vs. CBRE (in fact, he flew out to right). Pat's helping sell four acres of land fronting Hammond Drive in Central Perimeter to Charlotte-based Raven Properties, which in turn plans to develop a 300-unit Class-A, five-story apartment complex at the medical mixed-use project. The land is currently under contract for an undisclosed amount. This will be the first project in Atlanta for Raven. Perimeter Town Center is the crown jewel in Ackerman's medical office portfolio, which includes two major medical office buildings as well as retail space.
Speaking of the softball game, this one was a pitcher's duel between Ackerman's John Speros and CBRE's Kevin Geiger, with both teams remaining scoreless until the fifth, when CBRE's bats heated up. Behind a two-run hit from Kevin, they downed Ackerman 7-1. Above is NAI Brannen Goddard's Rusty Bennett playing against Colony Bandits. In the end, Colony Bandits kept its undefeated title again and MajEllis trounced on Cushman & Wakefield. Rusty can hold his head up, though: He recently helped Vision Airlines expand to 25k SF at 3950 Johns Creek in Alpharetta. Tonight's softball game will have the heavy-weight matchup of Carter versus Jones Lang LaSalle, PMRG Indies battling against Richard Bowers, and Rooker slugging it out against PattiLee. |
