AND MAKING THE EVENT POSSIBLE …
AND MAKING THE EVENT POSSIBLE …
We're honored to have Colliers International-Atlanta as an event sponsor: its capital markets group reps 16 institutional lenders— primarily insurance companies—and has experienced a significant increase in loan volume, SVP/principal Hank Hall (our able moderator) tells us. ?In the last 90 days there's been a pickup in refinancing activity  as interest rates have fallen, and we're also starting to see demand for acquisition financing. Insurance companies and the agencies (Fannie, Freddie, and HUD) are very active.? He says even CMBS lenders are starting to return. While lending was down in 2009, commercial real estate debt has begun to look attractive again on a risk-adjusted basis. This is particularly true for the insurance industry. ?For the better properties, 10-year rates are running 5.0-5.5% for commercial property, while the agency rates are still in the mid- to upper-4% range for multifamily.? That info is just the tip of the iceberg. Sign up now for our Capital Markets event.
