ANGELIC AND HUNGRY
March 17, 2011
The angels are hungry for your credit cards. Or at least so much so that Shaler Alias has raised enough venture capital to buy two other credit card processing companies and is preparing a third round of angel investment. Shaler, seen here inside a Chicago office, is head of Atlanta-based REPAY, a credit card processing company that just purchased Chicago-based National Translink for an undisclosed sum. This comes just months after REPAY purchased Chattanooga-based TBT Payment Acceptance Solutions, bringing the total number of merchants in REPAY's network to 6,300, Shaler says. The company plans to raise another $15M in venture funding in the next 90 days for a third acquisition, he says. Oh, for you office brokers out there, REPAY uses 2,500 SF at 3 West Paces Ferry Rd in Buckhead and is two years into a five-year lease. |
