Congrats to Georgia Tech student Miguel Otero Fuentes, who won this years John Portman & Associates Portman Prize, anarchitectural design challenge that focused on the Midtown Gardens School for the Arts charter school at Peachtree and Juniper. A student in GA Tech's Masters programMiguel says the design marries Peachtree Streets activitywith Juniper Streets more tranquil atmosphere. (Considering Georgia Tech lost in the first round of NCAA baseball playoffs, we can say his win carried the entire school on his back.)
