Atlanta Power Women: Part 4

Atlanta

Part four of our Power Women series continues, as we profile the 40 most powerful women in Atlanta commercial real estate (read part one, two, and three). This series culminates with our big bash to honor these trailblazers this Tuesday, Oct. 14, 6-8pm at the City Club of Buckhead. (Get your tickets fast, 'cause we're almost sold out!)

Amanda Rhein is the only woman on our list who helped birth Atlanta's popular Eastside Tax Allocation District while in college; as she was getting her regional planning masters at Georgia Tech, she secured a coveted internship at Central Atlanta Progress. Not bad for the kid of a real estate developer who got more curious about city planning and sociology. That aided her being hired with InvestAtlanta, where she helped secure TAD funding for $3.5B in investments. Today, she's responsible for the redevelopment of MARTA stations with private developers, including air rights development atop the Arts Center, Lenox, Midtown, and North Avenue stations, and launching five TOD developments in two years. When not at MARTA, she can be found at Zoo Atlanta or walking the Eastside trail with her 2-year-old daughter, or serving on the board of Dad's Garage Theater.
