BIG BUCKHEAD BUY
February 27, 2012
Parmenter Realty Partners could be buying its way into the alluring (and competitive) Buckhead office market with The Lenox Building.
Sources tell us that Parmenter is in talks with Clarion Partners to buy the 360k SF tower for $60M, or about $170/SF. Cushman & Wakefield's David Meline and Stewart Calhoun are marketing it. At last Thursday's NAIOP Night at the St. Regis, these folks were mum on the topic: JLL's Adam Viente; Eastdil Secured's Kennedy Hicks, and Parmenter's Michael Holmes, Trena Morton, and Nathan Reser. We'll keep you posted when the deal closes, which sources say should be within a few weeks.
Speaking of NAIOP Night, here we have officials with NAIOP, Yes! Atlanta, and the Ron Clark Academy accepting checks for $40k and $80k respectively. NAIOP's Executive Director Debbie Koenig tells us she sold out the nearly 600 seats at the St. Regis ballroom, where attendees enjoyed the comedy of Henry Cho.
AIG's John Whitaker, here with Troutman Sanders' Maureen Callahan, likes his martinis shaken, not stirred. We wondered what John has been up to, especially since AIG sold off its interest in Atlantic Station. He tells us he's been busy with the insurance giant managing a ?major vertical development? in South Korea.
Daniel Corp's Linda Murphy, Shelbi Saine, and Alston & Bird's Allison Ryan took a break from the NAIOP Night mingling to tell us that Cafe Intermezzo is set to soon open at 12th & Midtown development, along with Mi Coccina. And by May, the company should be moving forward with preleasing of the new 77 12th Street Apartment tower that is under way. |
