BIG DEAL
March 31, 2010
Hello, Atlanta! Allow us to introduce ourselves. We are the original commercial real estate e-blast that started in DC five years ago and has since expanded to NYC, Chicago, Boston, Houston, Dallas and (as of three weeks ago) Atlanta. We try to be fun, informative, picture-heavy, upbeat, and mercifully short. Please give us your feedback and suggestions: Editorial@Bisnow.com |
Some people might not think land sales and industrial space are sexy. (What makes you think we're speaking of you, office brokers?) But everyone must admit that when deals are this big—a $36 million land sale and a nearly 1.5M SF distribution warehouse—you don't have to use Joe Biden language to appreciate their import. |
What do you get when you mix the FDIC, 60 lenders, and a huge swath of land in Arizona? Another very nice transaction for Atlanta's Bull Realty. Bull repped the FDIC and lenders in the sale of 4,508 acres at Merrill Ranch in the Phoenix suburb of Florence, where developers had planned a major mixed-use development. The price: $27.7M. It's the second parcel Bull has sold at Merrill Ranch in the past four months. The first closed in December for nearly $8.6M. Yesterday, we found Bull namesake Michael Bull, center, with brokers John DeYonker and Rob Whitmire at their HQ in Buckhead—and we didn't have to ask why they looked so happy. |
