CARTER GOES PUBLIX
March 1, 2011
Carter is making its latest sale quite Publix. It just helped broker the sale of a popular Dunwoody Publix shopping center, Oglethorpe Crossing (seen above bathed in the orange glow of twilight). The 58k SF shopping center at 3435 Ashford-Dunwoody Rd was sold to a local private equity group for $9.7M, according to Databank. The seller was a local investment group. Carter's Drew Fleming andMark Joines chalked up the victory on their end. | |
Speaking of Carter, the firm also completed the development of the new Health and Science Building at the College of Coastal Georgia in Brunswick, which will be used by the school's nursing, radiological, and clinical lab tech programs. The $15.8M, 50k SF facility includes labs, observation area, patient exam rooms, a 125-seat tiered classroom, and study rooms. Carter's Tom Morgan was the lead manager on the project and is actively pursuing LEED Silver certification on it. |
