CFLane Prez Talks Merger, New Development
We got in touch with the new CFLane president Dan Haefner to talk more about the merger of Cock Finkelstein and Lane Co Management. And this deal does put CFLane into the big leagues--giving the company approximately 30,000 units across the Southeast and into the Midwest to manage. We have very complementary product types, and theres n ot a whole lot of overlap relative to services on both sides of the equation, Dan says. For instance, while both companies manage all ranges of conventional apartments, Cocke Finkelstein also manages manufactured home parks, while Lane has asignificant presence in student and affordable housing, he says.Dan also tells us, Cocke Finkelstein is just beginning entry into development and is planning to develop two apartment deals in Atlanta. Dan says neither project has broken ground at this point, but anticipates this will happen in the second and third quarter of 2013.
