CHAIN GANG
November 15, 2010
Once this facility is up and running, don't expect too many people clamoring to get inside. Officials with a Turner Construction and New South Construction JV are digging in on the future home of the Douglas County Adult Detention and Law Enforcement Center, a 1,500-bed facility off Fiarburn Road in Douglasville. The $117M project will take two years to complete. Pictured here breaking some rocks...we mean ground... is HOK's John Eisenlau, Turner Construction's David Butler, HOK's Michael Katzin, New South's Doug Davidson, Douglas County Sheriff Phil Miller; Douglas County Commission Chairman Tom Worthan, Douglas' comprehensive program services' Eric Johnson, Douglas Chief Deputy Stan Copeland, and J. Wood Co.'s Ronnie Wood. |
