COX'S MASTER PLAN
May 18, 2011
We caught Cox Enterprises SVP Dale Hughes at his office the other day to talk Central Perimeter and real estate. After all, Cox is perhaps the largest user of office space in the submarket (AutoTrader.com, AJC, Manheim, Cox Communications, to name a few of its divisions). And most recently, it's underway with two new office buildings along Peachtree-Dunwoody, as we've reported in the past. Dale tells us everything that's happened so far is part of a master plan by the company to rejigger its office use and consolidate into Central Perimeter. Dale is one of our panelists for next week's ?Future of Central Perimeter? event at The Retreat at Perimeter Summit (tickets still available here). Up next for Cox? What to do with its Lake Hearn offices, which house Cox Communications? executives. Dale says Cox could expand at Lake Hearn or consolidate around its nexus at Central Park (6205 Peachtree Dunwoody), but such moves are at least three to five years away. |
