CT, CARTER SAY 'I DO'
September 6, 2011
Carter has officially consummated its sale of its brokerage business to Cassidy Turley, which will now operate under the moniker.
Carter's chairman and CEO Bob Peterson and president Scott Taylor will run both businesses—Cassidy Turley (in Atlanta and Tampa) and the development and investment and asset management business, which will continue under the Carter banner. We chatted with Cassidy Turley's chairman Wally Pinkard (with Bob), who was on hand for the transition ceremony held along the blustery streets of Atlantic Station this afternoon. Wally tells us one of the first orders of business will be to search and hire a managing principal for the Atlanta office (a position Bob has at the moment). Asked whether CT will look outside Atlanta for a candidate, Wally says, ?My gut is there's a lot of talent in Atlanta.?
The move means this man, Mike Shelly, has been named senior managing director of brokerage for Cassidy Turley. Holly Hughes will serve as senior managing director of property management. Mike confirmed he's not in the running for the managing principal post.
We also spotted Glenn Kolker (now a Cassidy Turley employee) in line to get lunch. Glenn just leased deals totaling 30k SF at Piedmont West, including a 10k SF expansion for Piedmont Hospital to expand its back office services to help support its cancer and imaging specialties, including Piedmont Hematology & Oncology Associates and Dr. Alfred Jenkins (CBRE's John Shlesinger and Steve Barton repped Piedmont). Other deals: Georgia Skin Specialists and Braude Mermin Spivey Malamis & Perry MD. |
