| Now that Weeks Robinson Properties' Forrest Robinson is fresh from his headline-making purchase of more than 600k SF of industrial warehouses in Dallas, we put him on the spot about Atlanta. You see, from our story earlier this week, Forrest was quoted as saying he's not so bullish on Atlanta, and that the equity his company raised was being spent on the robust Dallas market. But Forrest says it's not that Weeks Robinson will completely ignore our fair city. ?Atlanta will come back,? he tells us. ?But rents are still trending down. It's pretty much bouncing along the bottom, we think.? He says Dallas is just further along in the recovery, noting that the Texas metro area added 70,000 jobs during the past year, while we … well … lost 4,000. Still the company is shopping industrial properties all along the East Coast, Forrest says. |
