EMORY MAKES A POINT
July 20, 2011
Rolling up your sleeves isn't just symbolic anymore. It leads to good things: Emory University's EVP of finance Mike Mandl, Cousins CEO Larry Gellerstedt, and Gables Residential CEO David Fitch were on hand yesterday for the groundbreaking of the $250M Emory Point project, the first significant mixed-use development to start since the depths of the credit crash. The JV between Cousins and Gables will be built in phases, with the first one including 80k SF of retail and 443 apartment units next to the CDC along Clifton Road. The first phase will be delivered in 2012 with additional phases starting as market demand returns. |
