EMPIRE TO EXPAND (AGAIN)
March 23, 2010
People around here (and on Wikipedia) refer to Cox Enterprises as a media empire. Well, the empire?s appetite for office space is insatiable. The company is said to be leaning toward exercising its option to acquire 9000 Central Park, an eight-story, 206k SF tower on the same campus as Cox?s HQ. Ackerman and a pension fund partner own the distinct-looking building. Cox already has one tower at Central Park and has announced plans for an additional 600k SF complex next door. Earlier this year, Cox leased nearly an entire tower at Perimeter Summit for its Autotrader.com unit, as well as space near Perimeter Mall as a new location for the AJC. CBRE's John Shlesinger and Sam Holmes have already done several transactions for the empire. |
