GOING RETRO
Do you think in our modern world everyone's becoming specialized? Maybe not.
We caught up with Alex Cobble, left, who recently joined Commercial Property Professionals, and Furman Wood, the firm's managing partner. At CPP, Alex will represent both office tenants and landlords, allowing him to ?stretch out a little bit,? he tells us. Most recently a landlord rep at CBRE, Alex is feeling more positive about the market than he did last spring. ?This year everyone has accepted that this is where we are and it is time to compete. . . . Of course, the environment is still somewhat treacherous,? he tells us.
Commercial Property Professionals itself has taken the advice it often gives clients: Leverage current market conditions and lock in a good deal. So the 10-person shop that started in 2008 will leave its sublease space at 200 Northcreek near OK Caf for 6k SF at 300 Northcreek, shown above. The firm does all types of commercial brokerage, except retail (though it does sell land for retail projects). Like other tenants, CPP was able to ?take advantage of the market and get a good deal,? Furman tells us. |
