HAWKIN' A PARK

| Who's that ripping off a backside tail grab? It's famed skateboarder Tony Hawk (pic snapped by local photographer Marc Mauldin), who was on hand Saturday for the opening ceremonies for the City of Atlanta's first skate park in the Historic Fourth Ward Park at 830 Willoughby Way along the Atlanta BeltLine. Construction of the park was funded in part from City of Atlanta Park Improvement Bonds, and a $25k grant from the Tony Hawk Foundation. Tony himself aided in the design of the park. |
