HEAGY SEES CP HOLDING ITS OWN
May 11, 2011
We spoke with Hines' John Heagy this morning after another one of the company's speaker series events at 1180. Since John is one of our featured panelists at our May 25 event, The Future of Central Perimeter (at The Retreat at Perimeter Summit) we got him to wax philosophic on Central Perimeter. He tells us that while corporate consolidation and downsizing has hit CP office landlords hard, this downturn has seen fewer companies leave the submarket than in past cycles, especially in the '80s and '90s when insurance and tech companies jumped up GA 400 for a then more affordable North Fulton office market. ?When you look at the market as a function of a longer period of time, this market has done very well,? John says. Of course, CP's had its big move-outs—including Porsche's HQ, which is announcing tomorrow that it will move to Jacoby's development in Hapeville (as we reported yesterday). Come hear John speak more about CP with other notable panelists, including Ackerman & Co's Kris Miller and the Perimeter CID's Yvonne Williams. May 25. Sign up today! |
