Has Fiserv Made Up Its Mind?
As we reported, Fiserv's potential relocation out of its wooded enclave in Peachtree Corners is one of the largest deals in the market (thus demanding our attention more than Prince Harry at the South Pole). Well, Fiserv's eyes may have turned north into Alpharetta.Â
The company is looking at the Cobalt Center and a development mixed-use pad site owned by Pope & Land at the corner of Haynes Bridge Rd and Ga 400 (pictured), sources tell us. JLL is spearheading the deal, which sources say could range from 350k SF to in excess of 500k SF if it were to pursue the development option.
Cobalt, a 376k SF campus off Windward Parkway (pictured), was purchased a year ago by Chicago-based M & J Wilkow for $20M. Since then, we're told the firm has been marketing the facility to a single big user. Over at Pope & Land's The Towers at Northwinds, it would require Fiserv to develop buildings from the ground up. But it could give it a campus that can accommodate 1M SF in various uses, including hotels and office. Officials with both M&J and Pope & Land couldn't be reached for comment.
