Hey Big Debtor
May 14, 2010
We Atlantans like our credit cards. A new study ranks the City Too Busy To Hate (but not spend) fourth in debt-per-consumer among metro areas. The average ATL consumer is weighted down by $26,063 in debt. Seattle came in the highest with $26,646. This study by Experian defines debt as credit cards, auto loans, and personal loans, but not mortgages. The best-performing city? Los Angeles, which ranked 20 out of 20, with an average debt-per-consumer of a paltry $24,009. |
