IBM SAYS GOODBYE TO SANDY SPRINGS
February 7, 2011
The first sign of movement in Big Blue's impending Atlantaconsolidation is here. And that means landlord iStar is marketing225K SF in Sandy Springs' RiverEdge Summit office park.
IBM looks like it will vacate 1500 RiverEdge Summit, consolidating its call center operations into its Smyrna facility, iStar's Greg Camiatells us. We snapped him in front of one of his paintings. (He did all the artwork there.) He says iStar plans to renovate the soon-to-be vacated IBM space to match the modern, breezy d cor at 1600 RiverEdge. CB Richard Ellis' John Shlesinger, who represents IBM, declined to comment for this story.
Here's something you won't find in the marketing collateral: iStar is proud to introduce its first and favorite RiverEdge tenant. Peeping Tom, a wild turkey who has made the 450k SF campus its home. Despite the continuous renovations (a bocce ball court, upgraded workout facility, upgraded common areas), Greg says, iStar will keep Tom for as long as he wishes to stay—at full-service rates, we imagine. |
