IT'S GOT THE (GREEN) POWER!
July 6, 2011
Georgia Power is going green and just achieved LEED EB for its HQ at 241 Ralph McGill Blvd. Carter's Jonathan Barge and Kelly Furr led the charge to achieve the designation (sorry, we meant LEED the charge). Features that got Georgia Power LEED include a recycling program, low-flow plumbing fixtures, a SmartRide program to cut commuting trips by 17%, and a solar panel array that offsets some of the energy used by the company in its HQ. |
