JLL PARTIES
December 6, 2010
We spent some time with JLL partners Margaret Caldwell and Kris Cooper Thursday night, eating pate and enjoying cocktails at Bistro Niko in Buckhead for the firm's holiday media party. Kris tells us that investor interest in retail properties is growing fast, with cap rates being compressed as a result. Kris should know, since he's the one on the verge of brokering the sale of 1010 Peachtree— the retail portion of 12th and Midtown. We previously reported that Edens & Avant is in talks to buy the property. | |
We also caught up with JLL's Clark Griswald...uh, we mean Clark Gore... at the holiday party. Clark's hair is starting to come back in after his bet-losing head shave last month. Clark promised his company that he'd go hairless if JLL won the Best Places to Work award. They did, and so he did. Clark also says when his kids were growing up, he was known as Clark Griswald, the character from the National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation movie, due to his penchant for, ummm, lighting up his whole house with holiday cheer. |
