Gov. Sonny Perdue says EFACEC's new power transformer plant outside Savannah is achieving its projected economic impact. About 400 people are working at the plant, which will deliver first orders this month. But the state says the plant?s expected to generate 1,500 Georgia jobs within seven years. And Effingham County Industrial Development Authority CEO J ohn Henry says just looking at the new facility has been ?a source of pride and hope? for locals. |
