Kansas Goes Sweet Auburn
October 10, 2013
Speaking of historic landmarks and commercial real estate players, we just found out that Gene Kansas Commercial Real Estate just got selected to lease and market the historic The Sweet Auburn Curb Market. (We're all gonna get some fresh mango to celebrate.) This is the first time in the public market's 90-year history (owned by the City of Atlanta) that an outside brokerage firm has been brought in to market and lease it, Gene says.
Gene says he's been tasked to help lease 10k SF of vendor space at the 50k SF facility, which is already home to some great eateries and food purveyors including Grindhouse Killer Burgers and High Road Craft Ice Cream. "The goal is to keep it genuine and authentic while bringing it up a notch," he says. GK commercial real estate just inked a deal with Le Metro Creperie, a Parisian crepe maker. "We could've signed another cupcake vendor. But we wanted something with an international flavor." (Cupcakes are so 2009.)
