MAJOR DATA CENTER COMING

| The company develops and hosts data centers across the country, and will open its first Tier 3 facility (that's data center speak for uber powerful) called T5@Atlanta in Preston Ridge. Bisnow caught up with T5's Pete Marin just as his company finished closing on 12 acres at the project, buying it from Greenstone Properties for an undisclosed sum. Pete tells us he expects the center to attract new businessesto Atlanta. When completed in November, it'll host 52K SF of data-storage equipment delivering six megawatts of power. DC-based private equity fund Iron Point Partners provided the financing (price not disclosed). As a wholesale facility, T5 will lease dedicated data center space to companies needing space for servers but lacking the time or capital to build their own. This is the third such facility T5 has undertaken and the first for its home territory—the first two are in North Carolina, called T5@KingsMountain. |
