MAYOR TAKING ON MORE CARGO
November 10, 2010
We joined a huge crowd of real estate pros today at the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors Atlanta Chapter's Leadership Breakfast where Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed said both Virgin Airlines and British Airways will be landing passenger flights at Hartsfield-Jackson soon. It's part of an effort by the mayor to push further economic development upon the airport, particularly concerning cargo activity, which he says will fuel job creation in the city. The mayor also says, based on a recent trip to Amsterdam, he secured air-cargo relationships with two new airlines, both of which will begin delivering to Hartsfield. He declined to ID the companies, saying it will be announced in January. |
