| Lucrative TI packages and pent-up demand are part of the reason interior design firm VeenendaalCave has added some 10 new staffers this year, Ed Cave tells us. As the year draws to a close, Ed says the firm has 62 on staff now, handling a boatload of new work. Companies had been putting off making any major real estate decisions, but a little more certainty in the economy is prodding them to making longer-term decisions. For other companies, the historic low rents and lucrative incentive packages are pushing them to seek and ink deals earlier than the expirations. To Ed, this all adds up as evidence that a recovery, however anemic, is taking hold. | |
