MOVING INN
October 17, 2011
We all woke up this morning with some good economic development news. (And with a big Falcons win and nice weather, we can say this is a pretty decent Monday.) |
Davidson Hotels & Resorts is planning to move its HQ from Memphis to Atlanta and is now actively scouting office sites. It's uncertain as of now who's handling the CRE search, but company officials say it should be fully moved to Atlanta by next summer(with certain back office functions remaining in Memphis). Privately held Davidson owns both the Doubletree Hotel Atlanta in Buckhead (seen above) and the Westin Atlanta Perimeter North hotel locally. Davidson president and CEO John Belden says that ?by relocating to a gateway city, we provide greater travel options for our associates, and optimize our visibility and accessibility with investors and property owners.? John also adds being in Atlanta will help the company attract top talent. |
