Multifamily Monday
May 16, 2011
The Town Brookhaven, Sembler's latest mixed-use gambit, is getting a third apartment project.
Fairfield Residential has purchased the last multifamily parcel at Sember's 600k SF Brookhaven (top left corner on this aerial) and is expected to develop a 280-unit Class-A apartment complex, Sembler's Jeff Fuqua tells us. The site also has the Alexan Brookhaven and The GoodWynn building. And it again deviates from Sembler's original plan for condos, thanks to the housing market being nowhere near needing any more units at this stage in the recovery. ?The apartment world is on fire,? Jeff says, noting Sembler has sold other sites across the country to multifamily developers. We had a wide-ranging interview with Jeff, which you can read about on Wednesday.
