NEW WATER RULES FOR BUILDERS
Here?s Lake Lanier (the Bisnow News Copter was in the garage, so we didn't actually snap this). It's the site where Gov. Perdue signed The Water Stewardship Act  yesterday. Basically, if you're building in Georgia, you'll soon face tighter  water efficiency rules.

NEW WATER RULES FOR BUILDERS
Beginning in July 2012, the legislation requires more efficient water fixtures in all new residential and commercial construction, as well as installation of efficient  cooling towers in industrial construction. For multi-unit projects, the bill mandates sub-metering to encourage thrifty water use. This bill also limits outdoor watering. The Lake Lanier location was significant because a federal judge ruled last year that Atlanta has few rights to water from Lake Lanier (our main water source). The judge gave Georgia, Alabama, and Florida until 2012 to reach an agreement.
