Worse yet, the decline wiped out Q1?s positive absorption and left the metro area with negative net absorption of 156K SF so far this year. |

| On the positive side (sort of) developers have started no new spec buildings since completing 1.6M SF over three buildings earlier this year (that includes 3630 Peachtree, above). Sublease vacancies declined for the second straight quarter to just under 2.9M SF, according to C&W. All this means Atlanta's overall vacancy remained unchanged at 21.2%. Oh how we long for 10% vacancy and the days of equilibrium! |
