NOTHING TOO HASTINGS

Could one of Atlanta's esteemed law firms  move to one of the city's newest mixed-use developments? If you talk to the right people, then the answer to that is a resounding ... maybe. Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker  is in talks with Daniel Corp. to move its offices to 1075 Peachtree, the 725k SF Midtown office tower.

The law firm is now at Bank of America Plaza, but sources say it's eyeing upwards of 60k SF at the project. Both Daniel VP of office leasing Doug Guedry and Raney Real Estate head Ben Raney (who also represents Paul Hastings) confirmed the parties are in talks. But as Doug emphasized, ?It's not a done deal.? The law firm's lease at Bank of America Plaza doesn?t expire until October 2012, and it has been scouring the Midtown office market for anywhere between 75K and 85K SF. ?We considered every site possible, and nothing?s been eliminated, outside of Buckhead and Downtown [locations],? he tells us. The firm may even renew at its current home, Ben says.
