New 150k Tower for Buckhead
An Italian credit processing company is readying plans to develop its own office tower in Buckhead. (No word yet if they are considering making it a leaning tower.)
Late last year, CRIF Lending Solutions purchased a little over an acre off Peachtree Street, directly behind the under-development TD Ameritrade building (which we highlighted in Crayola Crayon Red), for $6M. The parcel was owned in a JV of Pope & Land Enterprises and Regent Partners. In its place, sources tell us CRIF intends to develop an estimated 150k SF tower that will partially be used for its own domestic offices. CRIFs Lisa Eikhoff declined to comment except to say were still in the planning process and really havent moved too far down that path yet.
For now, CRIF is housed at 280 Interstate North (above), a 125k SF office building in Cobb County acquired nearly a year ago by Atlanta Property Group. CRIF only uses some 15k SF at the building, with a lease that has a handful of years left. Lisa declined to explain how much CRIF will use exactly in the new tower, but tells us to check back in May for more information.
