OUT WITH WACHOVIA, IN WITH WELLS FARGO
July 12, 2010
We snapped these of the soon-to-be-erected Wells Fargo signs (above) being stored on Pharr Road and of a newly installed sign at a branch at the corner of Peachtree and Biscayne (below). The firm is wrapping the new signs in Wachovia covers until the official name changeover, scheduled to happen in Georgia in October. | |
It's been nearly two years since San Francisco-based Wells Fargo struck a deal to buy Charlotte-based Wachovia for $15B, amid the drama of the banking crisis and Citigroup?s failed attempt to buy Wachovia. While that may seem like a distant memory, Wachovia?s branches are still being converted slowly market-by-market. |
