| Last night, we caught economist Dr. Victor Calanog of New York-based Reis pump priming consumer spending in Atlanta by having dinner at the Palm Restaurant. (Did you know Palm servers have business cards? Rennie Truitt showed us his before toasting Victor's arrival.) He was in town for a series of meetings at theFederal Reserve Bank of Atlanta to brief regulators and bankers on commercial real estate conditions. After dinner (Victor had the 9 oz. filet, and we had a hunk o' sirloin), we took him on a CRE tour of Buckhead and Midtown in a 1984 Porche—borrowed, of course. |
