PARK, EAT, RIDE
June 9, 2010
After more than two years looking, the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority has picked a site for a new 900-vehicle Park & Ride. GRTA bought nine acres at I-185 and Hamilton Mill for $3.2M, or $357K/acre, for the facility, Bull Realty's Darrell Chapman tells us. He repped the seller, Hamilton Mill 755 LLC. |
GRTA considered several sites but ultimately chose the Hamilton Mill site because of its accessibility, visibility, and proximity to the interstate. The tract is part of a development that includes a Super Wal-Mart, which will allow commuters to pick up coffee on the way to work, groceries on the way home, and a $5.99 Blu-ray for the drive. ?Now that the sale has closed, we expect to see restaurants, retailers, and other businesses move to take advantage of the increased traffic flow,? Darrell says. |
