PARKSIDE MOB DIVES INTO PHASE 2
September 19, 2012
Parkside Partners has already gotten the head and shoulders. Next they may try for the knees and toes. (Knees and toes.)
Parkside is moving forward with plans for Phase 2 of its already successful 2061 Peachtree project, with a second 60k SF MOB. (Taking over the world 60k SF at a time, that was Alexander the Great's motto.) Parkside?s Kyle Jenks spoke with us this morning and tells us the first 50k SF MOB already completely leased to such tenants as Georgia Hand Shoulder and Elbow, Interventional Spine and Pain Management, Georgia Surgical Center, and Fidelity Bank. Kyle says there continues to be demand for off-campus MOB space near Piedmont Hospital that makes him optimistic Parkside can break ground on Phase 2 by this time next year. ?There hasn?t been a new Class-A office building? along that portion of Peachtree in more than 40 years.
Parkside's Gary Matthews and Kyle were on hand for the company's BBQ lunch last week for more than 100 workers on the site to celebrate the first building's topping out. Kyle tells us the second building will be more than $20M and will be built atop an existing parking deck. Parkside began development of this project last year after buying the site that housed a former TGI Friday's restaurant. (No word on whether the MOB will serve pot stickers.)
