PRIMERICA EYEING DUKE, OTHERS
July 13, 2011
Primerica's HQ hunt is becoming a little more clear as its options have narrowed. And yes, it's going to remain in Gwinnett. Sources tell us that Primerica is considering a build-to-suit HQ at Duke Realty's Legacy Park (above is an older rendering) or a 17-acre parcel at Taylor & Mathis' Sugarloaf Corporate Center in Duluth. These are the first indications on where Primerica could go since it hit the market earlier this year with a 350k SF RFP. The company retained Cushman & Wakefield's Travis Jackson, Sam Hollis, Ken Ashley, Chris White, and John O'Neill for its search. Sources say that land owned by SDM Partners—a CRE investment firm co-owned by Steve Martin and Colliers International—as well as Greenstone Properties' Huntcrest West development, were all considered as well. | |
Here's a pic of its current HQ. Primerica's Mark Supic tells us nothing has been finalized, and that, yes, the company is still considering renewing its space at 3120 Breckinridge Blvd in Duluth where it employs 1,700. This is the second time Primerica is out for a potential new HQ. The company was scouting build-to-suit opportunities back in 2008, but those plans got scuttled when its then parent company, Citigroup, became mired in the credit crunch. |
