Katharine Kelley Green Street Advisors Jamestown Properties Riverview
Green Street Properties is giving regional planners a view of its future Cobb County development. The Georgia Department of Community Development recently determined that Green Street's Riverview on the Chattahoochee, an  87-acre mixed-use  project that fronts the Chattahoochee River in Cobb, is a development of regional impact, and hence, needs Development of Regional Impact (DRI) approval. This is often the next step in projects of this size and scope. Green Street, partnering with Jamestown Properties, intends to build 240K SF of commercial office and retail space, 200 units of seniors housing and 1,080 single-family condos and townhouses. Just don't expect the developers to start digging dirt tomorrow. Aside from the DRI approval, Green Street states in documents it doesn't intend to finish this project until 2017. And that's only if market conditions warrant it, says Katharine Kelley, president of Green Street, above. "Anything we do going forward will be timed in keeping with market conditions," Katharine tells us. "We will take this a step at a time."
