SENIORS HOUSING PROJECTS RISE
May 2, 2011
Coverage of our events often needs more than one day, given that lots of news comes from mingling over coffee and pastries during the schmooze portion. At our Atlanta Senior Living Summit at the Westin Buckhead last week, we found Formation Development's Mark Maberry. His company is building a 182-unit independent living community in Germantown, Tenn., among others. We spy a clean plate, so hopefully he was on his way to grab food.
Choate Construction founder Millard Choate (one of our great sponsors) and Medical Development Corp's Winston Porter were discussing their project in Forsyth County. MDC is building a 180-unit assisted living facility in Cumming called Canterfield. Choate is the GC, with delivery scheduled for 2012.
Interstate Restoration's Meg Simpson, here chatting with Noval & Associates' Derrick Holland, says the recent deadly tornadoes in Alabama have kept her company busy, with employees heading out to the state to help with the storm damage to some government buildings. |
