The owners of StudioPlex in the Old Fourth Ward are not only letting SCAD students display their art in an unsold loft, they are helping promote it. (Of course, anything you can do to get people into a building with empty units makes sense in this economy.) The next art installation includes the work of three illustration students and opens tomorrow. StudioPlex includes 130 live-work lofts. About 80% have sold. It also has 9K SF of retail, and about 80% of that is leased, including to one of our favorite restaurants, Serpas. |
