January 17, 2012
Let's just say that Gigi Giannoni is evolv-ing in her career.
One of Atlanta's best known multifamily marketers and operations gurus has quietly dissolved her Evolv sales and marketing firm to take up the COO post at the fast-growing Cortland Partners apartment empire (she also previously held exec posts at Trammell Crow, Gables Residential, and Lane Co). It's a big catch for Cortland, which in the past year has rapidly grown by purchasing more than 11 communities. ?It's very clear to me that the apartment industry is coming into its own in the next four to five years," she tells us. Gigi sees rental as the preferred living option in the future as people seek greater flexibility (and let's not even talk about trying to buy homes in today's environment). ?This generation and the generation to come thrive on change and being spur-of-the-moment.?
