THE DEAL SHEET
November 6, 2012
The band has broken up. | ||
Jackson Oats Shaw as we knew it is no more. Veteran CRE players Kevin Oats, former CFO John Ward and Jeff Shaw have split from Scott Jackson and formed Fairlead Commercial Real Estate (although they still have ownership interest in some of JOS' portfolio). Officials with the new firm would only say they established a different business philosophy and decided to go their separate ways. The new firm already has a kitty of funds to buy core-plus and value-add office and industrial properties in Atlanta between $5M and $100M. They're even looking at Florida and Texas. Fairlead is in talks to purchase a handful of properties, but officials declined to ID them. Scott, with the newly renamed Jackson Corporate Real Estate, could not be reached for comment. | ||
