Fried Rogers Goldberg is movin' on up. The law firm has inked a 6,000 SF, six-year deal for the 12th floor at Two Alliance Center. Tishman Speyer's Chris Ahrenkiel brokered the deal for the landlord, taking the building to over 90% leased. Fried Rogers Goldberg, repped by CBRE's Jay Dowlen, is moving from the Lenox Building.

Career Institute of Health and Technology has inked a deal for 15,200 SF at Park Creek at 2825 Breckinridge Blvd in Duluth. This is thefirst school for the NY-based institution. Hudson Smythe and Jill Bomar of Stream Realty Partners repped the landlord, Tansley Acquisitions, while Beatty McCaleb of RE/MAX Center—Commercial (who knew they were into CRE?) repped the tenant.

Central Perimeter Northridge Center I and II Bill Weghorst David Tyler PM Realty Group leasing management
PM Realty Group's Bill Weghorst and David Tyler just got a plum assignment: Northridge Center I and II, seen above. KBS Realty Advisors tapped the PMRG team to lease and manage the 186k SF Central Perimeter office park. According to PMRG officials, KBS also plans to renovate the project.

CB Richard Ellis has been named to manage a national land sealed bid event beginning May 19, a portfolio that consists of 75 properties throughout the US, but mainly in the Southeast and Southwest and being sold by the FDIC.

Newmark Knight Frank's Atlanta office has tapped Larry Wheeler as SVP of property management. Larry formerly worked with SRS Real Estate Partners in the Carolinas and will head up property management services throughout the Southeast for Newmark.

One of Atlanta's industrial real estate vets, Tommy Hiles has jumped over as principal of Lee & Associates. Most recently, Tommy worked with radio personality and CRE pro Michael Bull at Bull Realty, but he's had stints at Cushman & Wakefield, Staubach, and First Industrial during his 32-year career. Last year alone, Tommy brokered deals for Woodgrain Distribution (160,800 SF) and Kichler Lighting (247k SF).

There's a new sheriff in town (just not ours), and his name is Chip Olsen, senior managing director. Chip has left the Atlanta environsto take the lead role in Boston for CBRE. He sent us this pic of himself and wife Linda, telling us he caught his first ship after graduating the Merchant Marine Academy in Baltimore. His business plan? Grow the Baltimore-Washington region?s share of corporate deals, which Chip says he focused on at his last post in Atlanta.

First it inked a deal at one of the new Buckhead towers, now Windham Brannon's got a new managing partner. David Kloess has joined the firm, fresh from its merger with Tarpley & Underwood and its move to 3630 Peachtree, as we reported last week.

Cushman & Wakefield's Andy Ghertner was recognized during the Terry College Alumni Awards and Gala this past weekend at the InterContinental Hotel in Buckhead. Andy, seen here accepting the award after being nominated by CBRE's Sam Holmes, was honored with CCE's Bill Douglas and Mai-Lise Nguyen of Weber Shandwick in NY among an audience of 650. It was also Andy's 68th birthday(but who's counting, right?), so everyone wish him congrats and a happy birthday to our own ?Dean of Atlanta Real Estate.?

Atlanta development icon and legend John Portman is getting his own show in Beijing. In conjunction with the High Museum of Art, ?John Portman Art & Architecture? exhibition has opened at the Capital Museum in Beijing, which will showcase the architecture,furniturepaintings and sculptures from John's collection and five decades of work. Portman is currently developing the Waldorf Astoria on the Bund in China.
