Partners Poaches Another Top Atlanta Office Brokerage Team
A prominent team of Atlanta office landlord brokers has followed their old boss to Partners Real Estate.
Will Porter, Aileen Almassy, Andy Sumlin, Porter Henritze, John Zintak, Caroline Nolen and Melanie Garlock-Wolfe have left Cushman & Wakefield to take up posts in the new Atlanta office of the Houston-based real estate firm, Partners announced Wednesday.
Partners named Almassy, Henritze, Sumlin, Nolen and Porter as equity partners, while Zintak was named senior vice president and Garlock-Wolfe as vice president.
“Adding a team of this caliber to our firm is a unique opportunity. This is a group that works together seamlessly, with an exceptional track record of success partnering with some of Atlanta’s most successful owners,” Partners CEO Jon Silberman said in a release.
“They are a well-oiled machine with a proven team process that consistently produces superior results for their clients, and the depth of their collective experience will be invaluable as we further expand our offerings and strengthen our presence in the Southeast.”
The group — most of whom were at Cushman & Wakefield for more than a dozen years — rejoins John O’Neill, who left his post as Cushman & Wakefield's U.S. multifamily capital markets president in December. Partners hired O’Neill in March as the managing partner for its new Atlanta office, tasked with expanding the brokerage firm’s presence in the region as well as in the Carolinas, Nashville and Florida.
The team joins Partners after a string of deals in an otherwise down market this year. Almassy and Zintak both worked on Piedmont Healthcare's 180K SF lease at 271 17th St. in Atlantic Station for landlord Lionstone Investments. Henritze and Almassey represented Phipps Tower owner Manulife US REIT in signing CoStar to an 84K SF renewal, and Sumlin and Porter helped to renew and expand the FDIC at 10 10th St. on behalf of landlord Union Investment GmbH.
The hire of the seven-person C&W team is Partners' latest move to grab top talent from competitors in Atlanta. Earlier this month, the firm hired tenant rep brokers Shea Meddin from Cushman & Wakefield and Brooke Gothard from JLL.
