Here Are WiredScore's Top Buildings In ATL
Which are Atlanta's best Internet-connected office buildings? That's open for debate. But WiredScore is hoping to offer at least some standard. The NY outfit recently launched a certification process for office landlords to rate their buildings as the most wired in a given city. In Atlanta, that includes five existing and one up-and-coming office building, which achieve its own standard:
• Third & Urban's Armour Yards, a 300k SF redo of former warehouses in the Sweetwater Design District, which is certified Silver.
• Jamestown Properties' Ponce City Market (here), which achieved Platinum.
• Riverview Realty Partners' 100 Peachtree, which achieved Gold.
• 1001 and 2002 Perimeter Summit, as well as 4004 Perimeter Summit, which is still pending certification for landlord/developer Seven Oaks Properties.
What does that mean, really? Well, at least for WiredScore's top level—Platinum—that means that Ponce City Market features at least four fiber providers that are easily accessible through the whole building, two points of entry for cabling with “room for growth,” and a streamlined legal contracting process with carriers, the company states.
