Carter Validus In Talks to ETrade Center

Also on the data center front, Carter Validus Mission Critical REIT is in talks to buy ETrade's Atlanta data powerhouse. Sources tell us the Florida-based REIT-which almost solely invests in MOBs and data centers-is in talks to buy 1650 Union Hill Rd, the 165k SF Tier IV data center facility in Alpharetta owned by the online stock brokerage firm for an undisclosed sum. This would be Carter Validus' second big data center buy in Atlanta this year. The firm purchased the 185k SF GE data center in in the Windward Concourse Office Park for $50M this past September. CBRE's Leigh Martin (pic) reps the ETrade building, but could not be reached for comment.
